Gut Health & Disordered Eating Support in Aberdeenshire and Online
For a Calmer Gut and Ease Around Food

Struggling with ongoing gut symptoms, food anxiety, or feeling disconnected with your body?
I’m Laura Leslie, a registered Nutritional Therapist and Naturopath based in Aberdeenshire, supporting clients across the UK and online. I support people who feel stuck with digestive issues such as IBS like symptoms or have a difficult relationship with food. We aim to gently get to the root of what’s going on, so you can feel calmer in your gut, more at ease around food, and more like you again.
My approach is personalised, supportive and science-based. We work at your pace, without rigid diets or pressure to be “perfect”, just practical steps that fit real life.
Key symptoms you may be experiencing right now
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone. And you certainly don’t have to just “live with it”. Many of the people I work with have tried lots of things; different diets, cut foods out, or been told everything looks fine in tests— yet they still don’t feel as healthy or comfortable as they would like to. Together, we look for what’s driving your symptoms and how to support your body in a way that fits your lifestyle and is sustainable.
Digestive symptoms
-
Ongoing bloating, excessive burping, reflux, heartburn or indigestion
-
IBS-type symptoms such as irregular bowel movements or uncomfortable wind
-
Gut flare-ups that seem to come and go without a clear reason
-
Digestive symptoms that affect your every day life - your energy, mood or confidence
Relationship with food and body
-
Feeling anxious around food or worried about what you can and can’t eat
-
A difficult relationship with food or your body
-
Feeling stuck in cycles of restriction, overeating or guilt around food
-
Avoiding social situations because of food worries
A mix of both
-
Digestive symptoms alongside fear or stress around eating
-
Cutting foods out to manage gut symptoms, and this list of foods are growing
-
Low energy, brain fog, headaches or feeling “not quite yourself”
-
Having had tests that come back “normal” but still not feeling well
My personalised nutrition approach for gut health and disordered eating
My approach is personal, supportive and science-based. I take the time to understand your symptoms, your history, your lifestyle and what’s actually going on for you.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans or rigid rules around food. We work together to:
-
Look for the root causes of gut symptoms and ongoing health concerns
-
Support digestion, energy and overall wellbeing
-
Improve your relationship with food and reduce fear around eating to widen your food world again
-
Create manageable changes that fit into your life.
Where helpful, I use functional testing to explore gut health and imbalances more deeply. I also bring in my training in counselling skills and eating disorder support, so the emotional side of health and your relationship with food is always treated with care and respect.
My aim is to support you at your pace, with guidance that feels achievable and kind to your body.

I offer nutrition and lifestyle advice that will enable you to achieve your health goals.
My passion is to support people to take back control of their IBS-type symptoms and gut issues that they may have lived with for a long-time. I work with you to stop fearing food, improve your relationship with food and to feel energised and happy again.
Clients tend to come to me when they have been to their GP, had tests done and everything has came back clear. They have tried many diets, some have worked but they still don't feel that they are feeling as well or healthy as they should. We work together to look for the root cause.
I work with clients across Aberdeenshire and online, so you can access support wherever you’re based.

FAQs about working with nutritional therapist Laura
1 / Do you work with clients online or only in Aberdeenshire?
I work with clients both online across the UK and in person in Inverurie, Scotland on Wednesdays. Online support works really well for gut health and food relationship work and gives you flexibility around appointments.
2 / Can you help if I’ve had tests and been told everything is “normal”?
Yes – many clients come to me after being told their results are normal but they still don’t feel well. We take a deeper, whole-person look at what could be driving your symptoms.
3 / Do I need a diagnosis like IBS, other digestive issues or eating disorders to work with you?
No. You don’t need a diagnosis to get support. If you’re struggling with gut symptoms, food anxiety or ongoing digestive issues, we can explore what’s going on together.
4 / How do I know if working with a nutritional therapist is right for me?
That’s exactly what the free discovery call is for. It gives you space to talk things through, ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit – no pressure to commit.
